Kobun Memorial Sesshin 2020
As the pandemic continues, we will be honoring the memory of Jikoji's founder Kobun Chino Otogawa Roshi over Zoom this year.
Beginning Wednesday evening through Thursday and Friday into the weekend, we'll be zooming our day-long sesshin schedule.
The selected Kobun readings
can be downloaded as pdfs here.
Work
Saving All Sentient Beings
On Saturday, our traditional afternoon Kobun Readings will again be led by Judy Cosgrove, with a discussion of selections from the Thursday-Mornings.org Kobun Archive. This will be an experiment in being here and there in time and space, in the words of Kobun Chino, spoken in 1973.
On Sunday, during our regular 11:40am Dharma Talk period, we'll have our traditional Memorial Service and Procession to the Kobun memorial site, and offer incense while chanting the Daihi Shin Dharani.
Our Memorial Sesshin ends on Sunday afternoon with a Shuso Ceremony for Connie Ralls, also over zoom. Hope you can join us for some or all of it.
