a one-day mini sesshin

Zoom meeting (starts Zoom)

Zazenkai is a full day immersion into intensive, silent practice, a deeper meditation, a one-day retreat alternating periods of sitting mediation with walking meditation. Lunch and an afternoon dharma discussion round out the day. All are welcome to join us for all or part of the day.

REGISTRATION: This Zazenkai requires no registration. All you need do is show up! :)

COST: There is no fee for attending Saturday Zazenkai, which is freely offered, though dana (donations) are always appreciated, and may be made on our Donate page.

If you're thinking about attending a sesshin or extended retreat, Zazenkai is a wonderful way to discover the basics of intensive practice. Lunch will be served.

ONLINE ZENDO ETIQUETTE

To help maintain as best we can the intimacy and integrity of an in-person gathering, we ask all who join us online to please observe the following practices.

  1. Sign in using real name.
  2. Keep microphone muted unless speaking during discussion periods.
  3. Maintain zendo silence during meditation periods and while waiting for discussion period to begin.
  4. Keep camera on and maintain facial visibility during discussion period.
  5. Anonymous participation online will not be permitted, as it would not be permitted in person.
