The Lay Ordination of Andrew Acker

This Sunday, Jikoji Resident, Andy Acker,  will receive the 16 Bodhisattva precepts from Guiding Teacher Michael Newhall. This simple zen ceremony, also known as lay ordination, marks the beginning of Andy's life in vow.  Andy will receive a rakusu, lineage papers, and a buddhist name.  All are invited and encouraged to join us in taking this important step with Andy on his long and sincere spiritual journey.
