Zazenkai 1-Day Retreat
Led by Doug Jacobson
"First Saturday" Zazenkai is a full day immersion into intensive, silent practice, a deeper meditation. Our special Sunrise Zazenkai begins with a gentle pre-dawn walk to the ridge top, where we'll sit outdoor zazen (sitting meditation) and help the sun come up over the Santa Cruz Mountains, before returning for breakfast and the start of our traditional Zazenkai schedule at 9 am. All are welcome to join us for all or part of the day.
COST: There is no fee for attending Saturday Zazenkai, which is freely offered, though dana (donations) are always appreciated, and may be made on our Donate page.
If you're thinking about attending a sesshin or extended retreat, Zazenkai is a wonderful way to discover the basics of intensive practice. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Or make it part of an extended weekend with our Sunday Program and reserve a room with us.
Please email or call (408-741-9562) for more information.
