Jikoji remains closed for now, but our Sunday Program is going online. Join us from wherever you are, in our virtual zendo, for a morning of meditation, service, and a Dharma Talk.
Our Dharma Talk this week will be by Chuck Hutchcraft.

Chuck Hutchcraft teaches from the confluence of Buddhist and Western psychologies. He is particularly interested in the impact trauma has on dharma practice. Chuck began Zen practice in 1991 and was ordained in the Katigiri Roshi lineage in 2005 by Sojun Diane Martin, abbess of the Udumbara Zen Center in Evanston, IL. He received dharma transmission in the Kobun Chino lineage from Sensei Dean Williams in 2019. Chuck is the guiding teacher of Zen communities in northern and central Illinois and leads on-going mindfulness meditation groups. A licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, Chuck was trained and certified as a mindfulness teacher by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. More.

To help maintain as best we can the intimacy and integrity of an in-person gathering, we ask all who join us online to please observe the following practices.
- Sign in using real name.
- Keep microphone muted unless speaking during discussion periods.
- Maintain zendo silence during meditation periods and while waiting for discussion period to begin.
- Keep camera on and maintain facial visibility during discussion period.
- Anonymous participation online will not be permitted, as it would not be permitted in person.
