SPECIAL SUNDAY PROGRAM
* At Jikoji & On Zoom *
Sunday, february 4th - 10am-12:30pm
Zazen - Service - Dharma Talk
On Sunday, February 4th at 10am, during the usual first sit of the Jikoji Sunday program, Jikoji will host a special ritual to honor women ancestors. The program is presented by the Voices of Women in Zen (VOWZ), which includes Pamela Nenzen Brown (Jikoji Guiding Teacher), and other founding members of VOWZ, who were generously guided by Buddhist scholar Paula Arai in the creation of an embodied VOWZ ritual. This new ritual presents a deep opportunity for a more complete reflection of Dharma to all Zen communities and practitioners.
VOWZ offers supportive opportunities for women in Zen to:
explore together women’s embodiment of practice in open-hearted discussion and practices;
encourage women to continue the path of self-reflection and self-trust;
create a nourishing community which honors women in ritual & resources;
integrate women’s expression into the fabric of Zen.
We welcome everyone and hope you will join us for this unique opportunity.
PLEASE LEAVE Cell PHONES & water BOTTLES OUTSIDE OF THE ZENDO
