Heart Hacking Workshop

with Vincent & Emily Horn

Register Here
On the contemplative path we learn various skills aimed at deepening our experience of a loving awareness. In this two hour workshop we’ll focus on four skill sets traditionally referred to as the four immeasurables that are aimed at opening the heart. They include:

1. LovingKindness Meditation
2. Compassion Meditation
3. Joyful Meditation
4. Equanimity Meditation

During our time together we'll do both silent meditation as well as a social form of inquiry. We’ll explore these formal heart practices or hacks while also looking at how to bring that open heart into other areas of life.
There will be plenty of time for fine tuning and questions as we journey into a process of hacking the mind, awakening the heart, and rebooting the world.

"Selfdescribed Buddhist geeks, this married couple is crafting new ways to practice mindfulness, helping others develop apps for contemplation." Wired

Vincent Horn is a mind hacker & buddhist geek. He has been practicing meditation intensively since his freshman year in college—including a full year doing intensive silent retreat practice. He began teaching meditation in 2010 with the encouragement of his own teachers, Kenneth Folk and Daniel Ingram. In addition, in 2006, Vincent cofounded Buddhist Geeks, which has gone on to become one of the most important venues for exploring the future of Buddhist thought & practice for new generations. You can find out more about Buddhist Geeks on the pages of the Los Angeles Times, Fast Company, and Tricycle. Vincent was also honored to be part of Wired UK’s "Smart List 2012: 50 people who will change the world." Along with his wife and creative partner Emily Horn, he makes his home in Asheville, North Carolina—that is until the distinction between atoms and bits dissolves.

Emily Horn is a contemplative teacher with fierce compassion and the skill that comes from dedicated practice and personal exploration. Her integrative teaching style is influenced by Mindfulness meditation and revolves around the interwoven nature of contemplation, personal unfolding, and daily life.
