May Zazenkai, an opportunity to sit with each other amidst the bells and sounds of Jikoji, a mini sesshin from the comfort of your home. It will be in a style similar to our Rohatsu sesshin - which means a lot of sitting and time for reflection.

If you are a beginner or would like a refresher, we’ll be offering meditation instruction and a short Introduction to Zazenkai forms starting at 8:30am.

The regular Zazenkai program will begin with Zazen at 9am.

We will be observing noble silence starting at 9am, with a discussion period at 1:50, and final remarks at 3:00 to round out the program.

You may join us for part of the program or the whole program. All are welcome!

ABOUT JEN: Jennifer was ordained by Michael Newhall in 2019 and is a yoga teacher, cancer survivor and one of Jikoji’s resident managers. She first visited Jikoji for Denko E sesshin in 2007 and has participated in many sesshins and two residencies at Jikoji.

COST: Zazenkai is freely offered. Donations are greatly appreciated and may be made on our Donate page.

If you have any questions you can email us at info@jikoji.org
