MEDITATION – INSTRUCTION – DHARMA TALK
Saturday, July 4 – 9am-4:30pm
Jikoji remains closed for now, but please come join us in our virtual zendo for a day of meditation, from the safety of your own space, as our June Zazenkai goes online via Zoom. Led by Doug Jacobson and Connie Ralls.
ONLINE ZENDO ETIQUETTE
To help maintain as best we can the intimacy and integrity of an in-person gathering, we ask all who join us online to please observe the following practices.
- Sign in using real name.
- Keep microphone muted unless speaking during discussion periods.
- Maintain zendo silence during meditation periods and while waiting for discussion period to begin.
- Keep camera on and maintain facial visibility during discussion period.
- Anonymous participation online will not be permitted, as it would not be permitted in person.
Our Saturday session will focus on our intention to meditate, to investigate what motivates us in this meditation.
What are we trying to fix, or get rid of? Are we looking for a way to relieve our anguish, suffering, confusion?
What is the flavor of our intention? Is it kindly and accepting? Is it determined and focused? By looking at our intention to meditate, we may come to see our core intention in the clarity of open space.
Please join Doug and Connie in Jikoji’s virtual zendo for some meditation instruction, teachings, and discussion.
You are welcome to join us for all or part of the day, as your schedule allows.
