Autumn 2020 Practice Period
With the Wild Country A-Town Sangha
Tuesday & Thursday Evenings
Starting October 6 thru November 24
Beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 6, join in a 7-week intensive practice period, offered in virtual cooperation with the Wild Country A-Town Sangha, led by Taizan Mark Adams. Open to all practitioners and those interested in learning more about Zen practice, the focus will be on the central Buddhist concept of "Emptiness."
Taizan Gendo, Gerow Reece, Kishor Forson, Eli Cohen, Chobun Nenzen, and Cliff Isberg will be presenting on Tuesday nights; Taizan Gendo will be moderating the book club on Thursdays. This is an opportunity to “go deep” into this practice with commitment and noble effort.
Our topic will explore the fundamental and mysterious core concept of Zen Buddhism called (in Sanskrit) "shunyata," but often translated to English as "emptiness," and summed up famously in the Heart Sutra as, "...Form is emptiness, emptiness is form, the same is true of feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness."
