Sangha is a sort of society where individuals recognize their individuality among others,
and allow others’ individuality in the same space.

Jikoji Statement of Principles of

DIVERSITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING

We make an effort to create and ensure a safe, trusting, and supportive environment for all of our Sangha members. To that end, we affirm and respect our differences and similarities across age, race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexuality, gender, gender identity and expression, religion, financial resources, education, physical abilities, cognitive abilities, and appearances. We therefore welcome Sangha members, guests, and all people irrespective of these human attributes.

An inclusive sangha is one that encourages open, ongoing communication among all sangha members, whether residential or non-residential, ordained or not ordained. We invite all Sangha to explore Jikoji's Bylawsmeeting minutes, and operating documents, including our Conflict Resolution Policy, and this Statement of Principles of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging. Your thoughts and ideas are welcomed and encouraged.

And we invite all to attend any of our Public Programs — it's the best way to get to know and to get involved with Jikoji. Join us!
